Research and Campaigns

What We Do

  • We work within the community to raise awareness of issues that people may not know about and provide guidance on how these issues can be addressed.
  • We gather evidence about policies and practices that create problems for people seeking advice and support.
  • We use this evidence to campaign for change at both local and national levels.

If you are aware of an issue that you believe Citizens Advice Herefordshire should be taking action on, or if you are interested in volunteering to support our social policy work, please contact us.

How we work

  • We use social media to raise awareness and campaign on issues affecting our community.
  • We collect evidence and maintain statistics anonymously to ensure that individual clients cannot be identified.
  • We use this evidence, alongside wider research and data, to produce reports and campaign locally and nationally for improvements in services and changes to the law.
  • We raise key issues with local councillors, MPs, and other policymakers.
  • We work with local councils by discussing services and participating in forums and meetings.
  • We engage with organisations and companies to encourage improvements to their services.
  • We share evidence, insight, and ideas with partner organisations.
  • We submit evidence and recommendations to Citizens Advice to help inform national campaigns.
